Eye Exam What to Expect……
A full eye exam at CECC begins by reviewing your over all health and discussing what your main concerns are about your vision. Try to bring in any previous pairs of eyeglasses or eyeglass prescription you might have.
Testing More than 20/20:
Our Doctor will determine your eyeglass prescription and evaluate your visual system and how your vision reacts to the world around you (i.e.; focusing, eye alignment, eye teaming, and eye tracking). A comprehensive exam does not only determine your eye glass prescription and vision, but also examines the health of the inner parts of your eyes to insure you will have excellent vision for years to come. This can be achieved by having the Doctor use eye drops that dilate the pupils of your eyes. These eye drops may cause sensitivity to sunlight and blurred vision for 2-4 hours. You may want to arrange for someone to drive you home. If you elect not to have your eyes dilated on the day of your eye exam, please schedule a second appointment at your convenience. A dilation exam can aid in early detection of diseases such as glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and many other eye and health related problem.
